Yes! Our whole approach to capturing portraits of our couples is based around building comfort, connection and trust. One of the key things we do on every wedding is make sure we’re getting great shots in the bag really early on, which gives us the time and the confidence to get creative. The approach we take was developed to break that cycle of ‘going through the motions’ with our couples, and we share stacks of our favourite natural poses that you can use start trying something new!

Yes, yes, yes! We hated it when it used to feel like we were making our couples take the photos. Nothing made us feel less valued, and more stressed out on the day. In this course we teach the approach we take before and on the day that makes sure our couples enjoy their time in front of the camera, and we enjoy our time behind it!

Neither do we! But a few years ago we realised something… So many couples hire documentary photographers because they don’t want to feel posed in front of the camera, but then they actually feel a little self conscious because they don’t know what to do. Sounding a little familiar? We realised that we could find ways toposeour couples that still felt natural, and so they stillfelt like themselves in the images - but they looked GREAT! By embracing some simpleposing, we help our couples come away with beautiful portraits they’ll treasure forever, and not have to feelposedorawkwardon the day!

No. We don’t include on the day footage in any of our videos, because we simply don’t capture it! We are wedding photographers first, and educators second - as a result, we value our couple’s experience and we don’t capture footage on the day.
